Introducing the International Double Diploma Program at USA Heritage Academy
At USA Heritage Academy, we are proud to offer our International Double Diploma Program, providing students aged 14 and up the unique opportunity to graduate with two high school diplomas: one from their local school and a U.S. High School Diploma.
How Does It Work?
The U.S. High School Diploma requires a total of 24 credits, which we help students achieve by combining their local education with our online coursework:
6 full credits are earned through USA Heritage Academy’s online platform, focusing on distinctive American subjects such as English as a Foreign language, English/American Literature, US History, US Government and Economics. Our system features weekly live sessions, plus additional online activities. The courses are listed here.
18 credits are transferred from the student’s current school, ensuring their previous work is fully recognized and applied toward their diploma.
This structure allows students to meet the requirements for a U.S. High School Diploma while maintaining their local studies, with the program based on the final three years of high school (Grades 10, 11, and 12). Usually, then, European students will finish the US Hugh School Diploma course a year before they finish their local European high school studies (in most European countries there is an extra year of high school.) But students can in fact spread the USA Heritage courses over 2, 3 or 4 years, as long as they complete them, and as long as they also satisfy the requirements of satisfactory performance in their local European high school studies in all the key subjects. (We verify this by regularly carrying out an expert check on school transcripts).

Our platform is designed for convenience, enabling students to balance their local studies with their U.S. coursework. We propose online live lessons every week, but for subjects other than English language these classes are recorded in case, exceptionally, you miss a class. Then there is work to do online in your own time. For English language classes, there are two live lessons per week. For other subjects, one hour per week, plus your own independent work.
